Affordable Low-Cost Mental Health services

HTW Intern Program

Many people are often unable to obtain mental health services due to the lack of insurance and high out-of-pocket costs.

At Holistic Therapy & Wellness Children, Adults, and Families, it's important to us that everyone has access to mental health services. Through our intern program, we are able to make this a reality and offer little to no cost therapy sessions. These are full-length, hour-long sessions that will help get you or your loved one to a better mental state.

We serve as an internship site for students completing Graduate degrees and Doctorate in Social Work. We offer a limited number of openings for clients seeking counseling at reduced rates – as low as $35 per session.

Financial need must be demonstrated, and counseling is often offered by interns who are supervised by licensed Social Workers.

Please inquire if you do not have insurance and your resources are limited.

Psychotherapy, facilitated by a Master's level social work intern, offers numerous benefits for individuals seeking support for their mental and emotional well-being.

Here are some key points of psychoeducation regarding the benefits:

1. Quality Care: While interns are supervised by licensed professionals, they often bring fresh perspectives and enthusiasm to the therapeutic process. Clients can expect dedicated attention and commitment to their growth and healing journey.

2. Affordability: Interns typically offer services at reduced rates compared to licensed therapists, making therapy more accessible to those with financial constraints. This allows individuals to receive quality care without worrying about high costs.

3. Collaborative Approach: Interns are trained to work collaboratively with clients to identify goals and develop personalized treatment plans. Clients actively participate in their therapy process, fostering empowerment and autonomy.

4. Holistic Support: Master's level social work interns are trained to consider the interconnectedness of various aspects of a client's life, including social, cultural, and environmental factors. This holistic approach ensures that therapy addresses all relevant areas of concern.

5. Safe Space for Growth: Therapy with an intern provides a confidential and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Clients can express themselves freely, knowing they are supported and accepted.

6. Evidence-Based Techniques: Interns are equipped with knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions. They utilize these approaches to help clients develop coping skills, improve self-awareness, and achieve their therapeutic goals.

7. Cultural Sensitivity: Interns receive training in cultural competence, allowing them to understand and respect the diverse backgrounds and experiences of their clients. This ensures that therapy is tailored to meet the unique needs and preferences of each individual.

Overall, seeking psychotherapy from a Master's level social work intern offers a valuable opportunity for growth, healing, and positive change. Clients can expect compassionate support, effective interventions, and a collaborative therapeutic relationship aimed at promoting overall well-being.
